The Generator Box comes from a working sheet metal shop, not an overseas catalog.
The Generator Box is a product of Microfab Company LLC, a sheet metal fabrication shop at 339 Christian Street in Oxford, Connecticut.
We cut, bend, weld and finish metal for customers every day. When we saw how most people protect their portable generators with tarps, tents that blow over, and steel boxes that start rusting after a few winters, we built our own from heavy .080″ aluminum with a powder-coated finish.
What we build into every box
- Aluminum construction that won’t rust
- A white textured powder coat as standard, with custom colors quoted on request
- A hinged lid so you can refuel in place
- Fold-out side air windows for ventilation while running
- A latch that locks with a standard padlock
- Four base mounting holes to lag it down permanently
